Adobe Content Policy
content policy leadership | executive communication | cross-functional strategy | trust and safety collaboration
Challenge
Adobe Stock needed comprehensive content moderation policies that balanced creative freedom with safety requirements. The challenge was creating scalable guidelines that maintained artistic integrity while ensuring responsible content standards—policies that would also influence content surfaced in Adobe Express and used in training datasets for Adobe Firefly.
Approach
Led a cross-functional workstream to address complex content policy challenges for Adobe Stock. Working closely with my team, moderated sensitive discussions around challenging visual content categories—including sexual content, nudity, violence, and culturally offensive material—while analyzing regulatory frameworks like the Digital Services Act to inform policy development. Guided the team through the review process and drafted comprehensive moderation standards that balanced creative freedom with safety requirements. After extensive collaboration with Trust & Safety and Legal teams, presented the final policy framework to top executives and secured approval for implementation across Adobe Stock's platform and external artist guidelines.
Impact
Reduced customer complaints by 20% through improved moderation consistency
Established scalable framework supporting Adobe's AI model development and platform growth
Enhanced brand protection across all creative platforms through unified policy implementation
